From Hollywood ...with Love.

Hollywood and its academy of  arts are in fashion. We are about to know about the winners and looser (why can't we mention it). Next March 7th L.A. will be on the hot spot. And it is because we are having the ceremony of the  82nd emission of the Oscars Awards. As the tradition marks, the venue will be the Kodak teather and broadcasted in real time to more than 200 hundred countries around the globe.

One of the categories that catch my attention is that of best original song. This year, the academy decided to recognize the following songs:

  • The Princess and the Frog

"Almost There"

Music and Lyric by Randy Newman

  • Paris 36

Musica para los Dioses

Surfing the net I found out a new interesting Musical festival in Mexico. It is called Musica para los dioses and this name is a tribute to the place it is performed. This festival takes place in the Teotihuacan ruins that are located near to Mexico city. This year is the 4th year of the festival and the line up of bands is plagued of great bands, for instance you will listen to Autenticos decadentes, Maldita Vecindad, and  an argentinian band which is a surprise. The festival allows listeners to rent an space for camping and promises to be one of the best festivals of the year.So be prepared for the next March 27 & 28 to rock right beside with the gods!!!!

The Big Bang Theory Theme Song. By Ingrid Fuentes

Howard, Rajesh, Sheldon, Leonard and Penny might be familiar names for many people. Do you have any idea? ........

We're talking about the lead characters of the Warner Brothers TV show The Big Bang Theory. This TV show (I must confess) is one of our team-work favourites. The show demonstrates the systematic and routinely life style of two Caltech University prodigies living in their 20's. This entertaining show contrasts Leonard and Sheldon ' geekness with the easygoing way of living that Penny follows. With Penny's arrival to the neighbourhood, those geeks’ lives changes in a way that gives plenty of hilarious and awkward situations.

Since the show involves both an experimental  and  theoretical physicists, the opening theme should cover science matters in the lyrics. So this brings me to ask you this question: Do you know who the singer of the main theme is and how is this silly song is so representative of this great show?

Here the info, Barenaked Ladies is  a Canadian alternative rock band formed in the 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario. Its members are Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, Ed Robertson, and Tyler Stewart. They wrote and recorded the opening theme which describes significant breakthroughs in human history. In fact the theme according to Samantha Holloway considered one of the most effective theme tunes on TV.

I got a video with captions!!!!! XD

So enjoy it !!!!

I hope not to disturb some people's feelings due to their exotic musical preferences =P
